Based on some good comments from my last post, I've added more rust streaking near the spikes, and tried to weather-away(TM) the purple. I'm afraid I just cant't get ride of the purple at this point. So, is this starting to look like one of my vehicles? It is kind of strange, but I don't even recognize this as one of mine!
I think my next step is to add grey/brown/blue streaking to this. Maybe that is too much.
Add some slime and douse it with powders. It is outside of your usual style but that is good as you will grow from this one so keep pushing until you are happy with it.
ReplyDeleteIt looks cool, but I agree with Zab, it definitely needs more goo!
ReplyDeletestill fugly. But that could suit the army - try putting the Land Raider in the centre of the army and squinting at it - if it doesn't look out of place, then you're on the track.
ReplyDeletePerhaps.
It passes that test. It looks vastly better in the center of the army. On the other hand....man this beast is ugly. There are elements I really like, but when I really look at the thing....bleh!
DeleteFugly? it looks great! Just slap some decals/freehand on the purple if you want to break it up more. Actually, don't listen to me. I have very little experience in painting vehicles.
ReplyDeleteSweeeet. The additional weathering really helped tie it all together. Good stuff, man!
ReplyDeleteI think it looks great too, and the weathering makes it impressive!
ReplyDeleteThe smooth purple blend marks it as one of yours 8).. the rust streaks really added a lot to it. Looking especially good from the top spike racks.
