Araknae Quad Accelerator Platform
Is it terrain or is it a model. I'm on the fence about this thing. Immovable platforms are just not that fun in game terms. They make excellent objectives though. Think band of brothers and the german artillery position taken out by the 101st.

Sons of Horus Knight
Loads of chipping to get done, but I really like how this guy is turning out. The ammo feed was a real surprise as well. GW modeled it with individual movable links. I think that was a novel way to allow folks to be able to pose the arms.

Sons of Horus Land Raider Carrier
What a lovely kit to build. I think this has been my favorite of the new retro designed 30k kits. There is just something wonderful about the original land raider that full translates here. Shame they don't sill come in a box of three. This might satiate my need to own an original land raider, but I'm not sure.

Sons of Horus Contemptor
I magnetized his arms years ago, and am now stuck with such an awkward pose! Will I ever paint the extra weapon options? Who knows? At least there is an option to change out the graviton gun.

Saturine Dreadnought
This has to be one of the most tedious games workshop kits to built. It is necessarily complex, and would be far better off as a resin model. I happy to have it completed though, and love the bulk of it.

Sons of Horus Vindicator
The new kit is really lovely. I think they managed to capture everything good about the resin, model, but make is better. I'm still one spartan away from completing this army. Maybe I'll find something else to delay the last piece a few more times.

Sons of Horus Consuls
Took a while, but I got around to these guys. They are much larger than my resin models, but I'm happy to have them in the collection.

Gene Seed Objective Marker
For my final objective marker I decided on something a little different. The real test was the new weathering powders from Earth Pigments. They look pretty good and are a close stand in to my old Secret Weapon Miniature's pigments, but they produce white spots that I'm not too keen on. I'm low on green earth pigment, so my basing may have to change.

Horus Heresy 3.0 Objective Markers
Heresy 3.0 has renewed my interest in painting Sons of Horus. As I hunt down ammo boxes to use for the fourth base, I figured I'd share what I had done with the first three objective markers. I know folks seem ok using poker chips, but having them on the table really breaks immersion for me. These I much prefer.

Tiny Tank Commander
Warlord included this little guy on the easy eight sprue. I'd usually skip the tank commanders because the scales never fit well between the vehicle and the figure. However, after watching Fury, I had to paint him up.
