Chaos Terminators Done

Finally I have a full squad! I am not sure if I have just gotten used to the better plastics, but the chaos terminators I painted had very little definition. These were really frustrating to paint because I could not scoot my wet brush along any sort of defined line. Is this how they all are? Do plastic molds become undefined like this over time? I let the washes work their magic, and presto, my first chaos squad was complete. After seeing the forgeworld stuff in person, these blobby miniatures were not nearly as exciting. Hopefully the chaos kit will get updated as a gift to the community!

  1. They look incredible.

Plastic does cause some definition loss, but it's a trade off to have a material that's easier to work with.

  2. These just look sloppy! I the chains on the legs are larger than imperial guard heads, but lack any sort of detail. I guess I should not have as high expectations, but the sprus(not sure how to spell this) seem a little shoddy.

  4. The face on the bareheaded dud, or the white armor? For the armor I just primed them white, and then used a dev mud wash all over them. After they were darkened I used very thin beached bone followed by a very thin coat of beached bone/skull white. The trick was to use really really thin coats of paint.
