I had to shuffle my painting area around to make space for more Death Guard models, so I figured it was time for a quick army shot. I'm looking forward to brining this army to a game. I haven't figured out what points or power level it is yet, so that is a bit of a problem. Once my pre-ordered DG stuff comes in, there will be more pox walkers and plague marines. That should round it out nicely.
Superb! I have that Daemon Prince squirrelled away somewhere...
ReplyDeleteAside from the gribbly evil contagion, what's not to like ?
ReplyDeleteNice job mate. ¿How did you manage to paint that palid greenish sick color?
ReplyDeleteVallejo pale green air brushed on.
DeleteThat is a great looking force, man! I dig the slightly desaturated scheme, it really works well!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I'd like to think I'm painting at Joel-Speed!
DeleteI can't believe you've painted so much, so fast!
ReplyDeleteReally love the armor color (and the rest), mind sharing your recipe ?
ReplyDeleteVallejo pale green blended to pastel green, and then ivory
DeleteThank you
DeleteHow did you get the orange skin tone? I am about to do my own Death Guard force and I found you posts here and I really really like your color choices.
DeleteThe tentacles and flesh on the marines is what I am referring to.
DeleteI painted them with ak-interactive flesh tones. There is a nice little box that comes with all of the paints.
DeleteOk cool, I was hoping I could get a similar effect with GW or Vallejo paints. What would you suggest to try to get close to it?
