I finished the first full squad of Dwarfs today, and am really happy with the color palette I chose. Blue, green, orange, and purple are such a harmonious set of colors, I am beginning to wonder why I don't always paint this way. So 17 models down, 83 to go. Man that seems like a long haul!
I really like that green and blue on the shields. Great job!
ReplyDeleteMe too ... the color combo on the shields is nice. Granted it reminded me of my Scout Patrol colors ... team Kestrel if you must know :)
DeleteYou have to sleep at some point, JS !
ReplyDeleteAt least now you know what it is like painting orks :)
ReplyDeleteThose are pretty cool, John!
ReplyDeleteSeeing the leader in the back, he looks so majestic standing on that stand...I think you should give his base a boulder for him to stand on so that he's higher than his troops.
Thank Tim. The leader is suppose to go in a chariot, but I think I will put him on a base so he can be removed and used. The chariot is meh.
DeleteI really like the shields on these! they catch the eye in a non-glare kinda way.
ReplyDeleteThank you! I think the color scheme works well because the orange of the armor and beards works really well against the green and blue. Purple capes and purple shadows add a tiny bit of added depth. I might have to do some of these for myself as well!
DeleteBatch painting suits you, i am sending you my... everything!
ReplyDeleteI am starting to petter out though. I am close to completing the next 36, which I hope to do before vacation. Then I can relax, and come back ready for the next 2/3 of the force.
