Some days you just have to paint a one off. The model had been languishing in my display cabinet for quite some time. Rust streaks and grime have not been applied yet, but those are coming. The Macharius is one of my favorite models so it is nice having it finally presentable.
Absolutely stunning work John. The foldio is really showing off that modulation!
ReplyDeleteThank you!

ReplyDeleteI think you are going to love the charity armies!
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing, beautifully executed minimal palette. I can't stop looking at it, and it's not even finished!
ReplyDeleteSimply gorgeous! That has long been my favorite FW tank (only just recently supplanted by the Stormhammer), absolutely cracking work on it, man!
ReplyDeleteAwesome work as always. It's a treat everytime I visit your blog. Keep up the great work. Do you mind telling me which colors you used for the modulation?
ReplyDeleteTracks are airbrushed followed by oils (the light dust color). The final step was adding two dirt colored pigments and then graphite.
ReplyDeleteFantastic work! Even without your final weathering the details are simply amazing.
ReplyDeleteThis is just gorgeous. I want one and am jealous. That is all.
ReplyDeleteHey John,
ReplyDeleteAt nova you had your wonderful 30k diorama/army display on a rolling cart style device. Where did you get it and what did you use? I really liked your ability to just move it around!
I bought that at target on my drive over to the NOVA.
DeleteAmazing, what paints did you use??
