Sons of Horus Rhinos Now With Meltas!

You can never have too many meltas in your force. 

 

Horus Heresy 3.0 Objective Markers

 

Heresy 3.0 has renewed my interest in painting Sons of Horus. As I hunt down ammo boxes to use for the fourth base, I figured I'd share what I had done with the first three objective markers. I know folks seem ok using poker chips, but having them on the table really breaks immersion for me. These I much prefer. 

Tiny Tank Commander

 Warlord included this little guy on the easy eight sprue. I'd usually skip the tank commanders because the scales never fit well between the vehicle and the figure. However, after watching Fury, I had to paint him up. 

30k Space Wolves Contemptor

 

Contemptors are just fun to paint. 

Punic Wars Models in Epic Scale.

I've really fallen hard for the Warlord Games Epic scale Punic Wars game. I have the Warlord Games plastics as well as great STLs from Cromarty Forge. At the moment I'm treating them as separate projects. 

DKoK Russ

 It has been a long time since I've painted a russ. This one comes equiped with the DKoK air filtration resin and DKoK commander. 

Death Korps of Krieg Hades Assault Drill

 I reached into my ancient pile of Forgeworld and came out with this. Behold! A drill with a melta gun attached. 

Primarch Lorgar

 I've had this guy sitting around for years, but finally decided to give him some paint. I tried using speedpaints as a pin wash rather than my usual enamels. I think I'll stick to enamels next time, the workability is just much better.
